The building is the new parish church of Villa Verde, Sardinia, designed by the architectural collective composed of Carlo Atzeni, Maurizio Manias, Silvia Mocci, and Franceschino Serra. For the project, we shaped a visual narrative that hilights how materials such as local stone, marble and CorTen establish a profound connection with the surrounding landscape and interact with light throughout the day. The project, along with the one of the Church of Santa Chiara in Sini, was the subject of the exhibition “Paesaggi del Sacro”, held at the MUACC in Cagliari.
